HPMC Powder is primarily used in hypromellose (inn). Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (hpmc), is a viscoelastic, semi synthetic, polymer and inert.
These are used as an ophthalmic lubricant as well as an excipient and controlled-delivery component in oral medicaments, found in a variety of commercial products. Moreover, these serve as an emulsifier, thickening & suspending agent, and an alternative to animal gelatin as a food additive.
